Dennis L. Martire's journey from earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Government from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1986 to his current role as a prominent figure within the Laborers International Union of North America (LiUNA) is a testament to his unwavering commitment to each and every union member. Currently residing in Northern Virginia with his family, Dennis has proudly associated himself with LiUNA Local #1058 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has continually advanced within the union, driven by a personal mission to enhance working conditions and secure well-compensated jobs for laborers.

As a dedicated union leader focused on improving working conditions, Dennis L. Martire also oversees LiUNA's exceptional training program. This program offers ongoing training to members, equipping them with the skills needed to perform their job-related tasks with greater proficiency and effectiveness. Covering a wide range of subjects and specialties, this training not only facilitates career advancement for workers but also assures employers that union workers often exhibit greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness than their counterparts.

Dennis L. Martire's influence extends beyond LiUNA, as he actively participates in various boards and committees. He lends his expertise to the American High-Speed Rail Alliance Advisory Board, the Blue Ribbon Commission on Maryland Transportation Funding, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), and the Dulles Area Transportation Authority. In conjunction with his union responsibilities, Dennis plays a crucial role in the Laborers’ Health and Safety Fund of North America (LHSFNA) and serves as a Trustee for the Mid-Atlantic Laborers’ Employers Cooperation and Education Trust (MALECET). Additionally, he chairs the Mid-Atlantic Regional Organizing Coalition (MAROC) and leads the Performance Management Committee. Dennis L. Martire also contributes as a Committee Member for the Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board and holds numerous other positions of responsibility.
